Description

Optimising functional space is key to a dining table's design, and Mikado is the result of a quest for balance between functionality and stability. Designer Alain van Havre created inward-flowing legs that interlock like a puzzle, combining strong character with sculptural lightness.

Built from solid European oak in warm Natural Oak, sourced from responsibly certified forests. Available in three sizes.

Materials & care

Made from solid European oak with a pigmented hardwax oil finish.

Care

  • Dust with a dry cloth. For anything more, use a damp cloth and a natural soap — no detergents.
  • Wipe in the direction of the grain, then dry with a soft clean cloth so it doesn't spot.
  • Blot spills immediately. Oil resists stains but won't stop them.
  • Use coasters and placemats; heat and repeated wear will mark the finish.
  • Move vases and pots around now and then, and dry any water that pools underneath.
