Three simple steps to a styled table.
Start with a base.
Every styled table begins with a base — a tray, a book, or a timber board that anchors the centre of the table.
The base does the heavy lifting — everything after this is decoration.
Build height with practical styling objects.
Give your vignette dimension by layering in two or three objects at different heights that look beautiful but also double up practically on the dining table.
The trick is to think in triangles. Place your tallest piece in the middle, then position a medium-height piece on one side and a lower piece on the other. Step back. If your eye travels around the arrangement rather than landing in one spot — you've nailed it.
