norsu STUDIO Elysian Oversized Top Panelled Bedhead

Please note — this is an oversized bedhead. Every size measures 1000mm wider than the mattress it suits, so a Queen is 2550mm across where a standard queen bedhead is closer to 2000mm. The extra width is the whole point of the design — it lets your bedside tables sit in front of the bedhead rather than beside it — but it does mean you'll need to measure your wall before ordering. Full dimensions are below, and if they're not quite right for your room, we'll make it to your measurements.

The norsu STUDIO Elysian Oversized Top Panelled Bedhead takes its inspiration from our best-selling Elysian cushion — a luxe rounded silhouette in stunning textural fabric, finished with a contrast panel across the top.

Designed by the norsuHOME styling team, this oversized piece is built around one idea: an overhang generous enough that your bedside tables sit in front of the bedhead rather than beside it. Every size carries 500mm of clearance on each side, so a standard bedside table tucks neatly within the frame for a considered, built-in look.

As seen in Kristy's main bedroom, upholstered in commercial-grade Babylon bouclé with Parissi Shell, and lovingly made to order locally in Melbourne with a lead time of around 6 weeks.

Dimensions — please measure before ordering
Single — W1950 x H1200mm (suits a 920mm single mattress)
King Single — W2100 x H1200mm (suits a 1070mm king single mattress)
Double — W2400 x H1200mm (suits a 1370mm double mattress)
Queen — W2550 x H1200mm (suits a 1530mm queen mattress)
King — W2850 x H1200mm (suits an 1830mm king mattress)
Super King — W3050 x H1200mm (suits a 2030mm super king mattress — custom order)

All sizes are 1200mm high, with 500mm of overhang on each side of the mattress. Sizes are named for the mattress they suit, not the width of the bedhead — an oversized Single is 1950mm wide.

Made to your measurements
Every Elysian bedhead is made to order in our Melbourne workroom, so none of these sizes are fixed. We've drawn each one with a 500mm overhang because that suits a standard bedside table — but if yours is wider or narrower, or it's a piece you already have and love, we'll size the bedhead around it. Any width, any overhang, any bed.

The wall space you'll need
Because your bedside tables sit within the width of the bedhead, you only need to allow for the bedhead itself — nothing either side. A Queen needs 2550mm of clear wall, where a standard bedhead with tables beside it needs closer to 2900mm. Check for power points, window returns and robe doors within that span.

Choosing your bedside tables
Each size allows 500mm on either side of the mattress, so bedside tables up to 500mm wide will sit neatly in front of the bedhead. If your bed base sits wider than your mattress, subtract the difference when choosing your tables — or send us your measurements and we'll adjust the bedhead to suit.

May need to be made in two panels
Given the generous width of this design, your bedhead may need to be made in two panels for stability and to allow safe transport and access into your home. The panels sit flush together against the wall behind your bed.

Delivery & access
As an oversized item, this bedhead ships via bulky freight. Please check access to your bedroom — doorways, hallways, stairwells and lifts — before ordering.
