Try Robert Gordon lighting in your home, before you buy

Choosing a wall sconce or pendant from a product photo is a leap of faith — how big will it look on your wall, and which of the thirteen hand-glazed colours will actually suit your room? So we built a free tool that puts every Robert Gordon light on a photo of your own space, true to size, in every glaze. No app, no sign-up. Just try it.

Three of the tool's demo rooms — or upload a photo of your own wall. Everything you see is a real product image, scaled to the wall.
How it works

Four steps, two minutes

The whole thing runs in your browser on desktop or phone. Your photo never leaves your device.
01  /  Choose your room Start with a room, or your own Pick the bedroom, bathroom or living room to play, or upload a straight-on photo of the wall you're actually lighting. Wide, well-lit shots work best.
02  /  Choose your lights Every shape, every glaze All fourteen shapes are here — Dish, Shell, Bowl, Pearl, Oyster, Backlit Disc, Curve, Box, Bell, Cylinder and Tapa — in all thirteen colours. Tap a shape, then a glaze.
03  /  Drag into place Single, pair or your own layout Drop lights on the wall and drag them where you'd mount them. Try one, a pair either side of a bed or mirror, or a run of pendants over an island.
04  /  Add to cart Happy? Add the lot in one tap Your arrangement becomes a live list with prices. Add everything to your cart at once, or click through to any product for the full spec.
Same room, four glazes

See the colour on your wall, not on a swatch card

Robert Gordon's glazes shift with the light and the wall behind them — Coast reads warmer against a pink wall, Storm softer against grey. Swap glazes in the tool as many times as you like and compare them side by side in the same spot.
Still deciding? Order a colour chip before you commit Screens are never perfect. If you're between two glazes, order a real hand-fired ceramic chip of each — the same clay and the same glaze as the lights — and hold them against your wall, tiles and tapware. They're $3.30 apiece, and every one of the thirteen colours is available, including our exclusive Dusty Rose. $3.30 each Shop colour chips
Why it's worth getting right Hand made in Melbourne, made to order for you Every Robert Gordon light is cast, hand glazed and high-fired in the family's own workshop in Pakenham, on Melbourne's outskirts — a family pottery since 1979, still run by the Gordons today. Nothing is pulled off a shelf: your sconce is made once you order it, which is exactly why we wanted you to be sure of the shape and the colour before that first piece of clay is cut. Try it on your wall, hold the chip, then order with confidence.
